"This Student Study Guide has been prepared with several very important student concerns in mind. First, students need a comprehensive guide to supplement Robert Feldman's Understanding Psycholog, taking advantage of the many features in the book that support effective study habits.
Second, students need
practice and drill work that focus on the full content of each chapter and present practice questions that are similar to those provided in the instructor's Test File. In order to provide a study guide that responds to both of these concerns, the chapter summaries have been organized using the key terms and concepts in the text, and the student learning objectives have page references to the text.
In addition, the
definitions in the text of the key terms were used to develop the key term drills found throughout the study You will also find two practice essay questions for each chapter. These questions are intended to provide you opportunities to practice writing and critical analysis skills. In the answer key at the back of the Study Guide, a list of points that should be covered in your answer to each question has been provided.
These questions are meant to be difficult and to require you to draw on both conceptual and factual knowledge. Some require that you apply concepts to situations, and others may require that you compare several ideas.
