Summary: "In this era of advanced science and information techno-logy, a need to revise textbooks published even just a few years ago is important. The purpose of the fourth revision of this book is to update the events. Aside from this, we intend to make it a better teaching instrument for instructors/professors and a more helpful tool in the learning process of students. In this fourth edition of General Psychology which first appeared in 1979, attempts have been made to attain these objectives with the following modification and additions. Those acquainted with the third edition will readily notice the extent to which this revised edition differs from it. Except for Chapters 7 and 12, the rest of the chapters underwent radical revisions if not expansion. All the references listed at the end of each chapter have been used directly as sources of materials for that chapter. We acknowledge our indebtedness to the authors of the books, jour-nals, and the internet we have used as sources for this book.
