The researchers utilized Reed's Self-Transcendence Theory. The study was conducted in Barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City and a descriptive correlational design was used by the researcher. A researcher-made questionnaire was the primary research instrument. Most of the respondents were within the age bracket of 40-45 years old, male and finished secondary level, engaging in low to moderate types of exercise like brisk walking, stair climbing, and running. The result of the over-all weighted mean had a computed value of 3.36 which implies that the respondents strongly agreed on the benefits of exercise in improving their cognitive function.
