This game aims to reduce social isolation in teenagers, as they are often played alone with their electronic gadgets. Teenagers are having the hard time communicating with other people and lacks exercise due to inactivity for staying indoors. The team brainstormed and came up with an idea to solve this problem, by emerging the virtual world and the physical world. Wanderlust is a pervasive game that involves capturing and training a mixture of different monsters called "Avats" which is inspired by the Philippine mythical creatures. This game was brought in to reality using the technology Global Positioning System (GPS) to locate Avats using the map of Cebu Province. This technology allows the user to navigate specific locations from the map to know the exact coordinates of the location of the Avat. In order to capture that particular Avat, the player must be able to visit the actual place where the Avat is located. This application requires internet connection; thus, one must be able to connect to the internet for him/her to play the game. The users can choose from the category menu bar to view the Map to see the coordinates of the avats, the inventory of their captured Avats, request for battle, the user can also create an event, contact friends, have access to the Avat book for the description of the Avats, and the user can trade to other users or players. In this way, the Wanderlust players can be more active and can actually improve their daily habits rather than just staying indoors with their gadgets. The game application, does not only let the players socialize with other people and meet new friends but also make them discover the world they actually live in and awaken the wanderlust in them.
