JrMaterial type: TextTextPublisher: Cebu City : University of Cebu, 2016Description: 80 leavesContent type: text Media type: unmediated Carrier type: volumeSummary: Summary: Camera- equipped Arduino Rover with Android Smartphone Microcontroller is a prototype rover primarily controlled by an Arduino Mega Microcontroller . With the help of ATC Lite, a smartphone application , the rover can be controlled remotely through Bluetooth technology. Specific controls have been placed in the application. Maximum theoretical distance of bluetooth transmission is at 20 m between the sender and the receiver. Sending of video of the path is also possible because of the Wi-fi hotspot technology. A dedicated and independent smartphone camera is set-up in the rover. However, a more limited distance is to be observed in video transmission. Trough testing, a decent and visible video can be seen at a maximum distance of ten meters. A uniform resource locator (URL) is to be accessed through any browser in a laptop or any smartphone as long as it is connected to the hotspot of the serving smartphone. Video will be saved at the smartphone. For security purposes, the proponents observed encryption of password. The wi-fi hotspot and the hosting URL is secured with the password so that there will be a more secured video transmission. The camera-equipped Arduino Rover with Smartphone Microcontroller can pass through rugged terrains; can climb up and down specific stairs. A prototype stairs has been made beforehand.
