The Higher Education Act of 1994 mandates that there should be rationalization in the undergraduate teacher education in the country to keep pace with the demands of global competitiveness (Commission on Higher Education, 2007). This investigation intends to assess the training needs of the faculty of the College of Teacher Education to be able to formulate a comprehensive faculty development plan. Using purposive sampling method, there were fifty-one respondents of this investigation. These respondents were the faculty members who are teaching both professional and general education subjects. To analyze the data on the respondents profile, simple percentage was applied; while weighted mean was used to analyze the data on the training needs of the faculty member. The results revealed that the training needs of the faculty members are the following: professional skills in planning and preparation, competency in technology, student evaluation, effective instructional delivery, classroom management. There were training needs on communication skills, legal, moral and collaboration and teamwork, research methods and personal and interpersonal skills.
