The purpose of this study is to determine the learning constraints and ways of coping among nursing students of University of Cebu- Banilad. This research study utilized a descriptive-correlational survey method. The data were collected through a researcher made-questionnaire that was answered by 85 respondents. The findings revealed that majority of the respondents were 19 years old and most of them were females. The respondents perceived that the learning constraints they experienced were financial constraints, physical and mental stress, environmental boundaries and sleeping pattern alteration. There is a significant relationship between the respondents age and gender and their ways of coping with the different constraints which would hinder their performance in school. The nursing students in the university experienced various constraints in learning. Foremost of which is environmental boundaries which primarily relates to traffic congestion in travelling to school. A proposed action plan is recommended to help students in dealing with myriad of stressors.
