Summary: There is no such thing as a perfect parent nonetheless one can't help but try right? Parents and guardians encounter various problems in their daily child-rearing activities. The virtual nanny is an android application that was designed to address the prevalent issues of parenthood and child monitoring. The idea was to introduce an application that allows guardians to monitor their children by means of their mobile device.The researchers have undergone series of planning, designing, coding and testing to complete the project. Upon completion, the mobile application allows guardians to monitor their children virtually in real-time. Virtual Nanny's features include:simultaneous location tracking, geofencing, setting of child's schedule, tasks and allowed screen time, pedometer, and a reward and consequence system for a more interactive child-guardian relationship. With this mobile application, guardians can observe their child's activities even if they are not with them physically and can be notified accordingly thru their handheld device. Being able to closely monitor the child doesn't only ensure their safety and well being but it also gives parents the good night sleep they all deserve after hard day's work.
