Immunization compliance and health status infants in Barangay Hipodromo / Shiela Vanessa G. Lauron [and four others].

It includes recipients immune system to react that produces antibodies to fight infection. This study utilized the descriptive- correlational research design with the use of a researcher-made questionnaire as the primary tool for gathering data. There were a total of 80 respondents by the use of fishball method from Barangay Hipodromo, Cebu City. Statistical treatments used for data analysis were simple percentage,and chi- square of independence to test null hypothesis. The findings revealed that the majority of the respondents were between 17-44 years old and females. There was a significant relationship between the profile of the respondents and their compliance of infant's immunization program for infant's ages 0-1. It shows that the mothers do complied on time with the immunization program of the health center and it indicates that mostly of the illness/symptoms listed are almost never manifested by the infants in the Banrangay Hipodromo, Cebu City. The mothers in the barangay with a highly urbanized city adheres to the governments stipulation on propagating healthy people society through immunization. The mothers compliance on the national agenda on propagating knowledge adheres to Pender's Health Promotion Model. The action plan that composed of activities that involves the barangay health workers and nursing students to maintain the immunization compliance that will be implemented. The collaboration between the local health workers and the student nurses aims to propagate depends on knowledge by immunization and rates among children in the impoverished areas.
