In a classroom setting, the scientific need to assess the learners needs and capabilities requires any aspiring teachers to be proficient in statistics. This study determined the level of proficiency in descriptive statistics of the fourth year BEED students in the College of Teacher Education of the University of Cebu- Banilad campus. A proposed action plan on sessions with the students using a researcher-developed module was the output of the study. This study utilized descriptive correlational research design in determining the proficiency of the fourth year BEED students in the university and used a researcher-made questionnaire for the data gathering. The total sample population of the respondents was forty, and the total number of items in the form was also forty. And lastly, sample percentage was used to determine the odds of the profile of the respondents and to identify the significance between the contour and the level of proficiency of the respondents, chi square test of independence was used. The findings of this study revealed that majority of the respondents were female. A major proportion of the total study respondents attended government-sponsored schools with parent's monthly income was within P4,547 to 10,000. The results showed that the respondents failed in their overall performance. There was no significant relationships noticed between the profile of the respondents and their level of descriptive statistics proficiency. Therefore, the fourth year BEED respondents level of proficiency in the descriptive statistics was fine.
