It enables humans to communicate and express thoughts or ideas. Thus, one must be aware of the dynamics of language to avoid confusion and misunderstanding. This study examined the level of awareness of the grade 11 GAS students on manillennial terms. The study used a researchers’ made questionnaire which consists of the respondents’ profiles, Manillennial Vocabulary Exam, and their frequency of usage on Manillennial terms by necessary information which were needed for the study. Furthermore, descriptive-correlation research design was also utilized to provide quantitative data for researchers to analyze and provide narrative interpretation based on the results gathered. It also presented the significant relationship among the variables. The researchers utilize Simple Percentage, and Pearson’s Chi-Square and Cramer’s V in treating the data. It was found out that the respondents were moderately aware on the manillennial terms. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between the respondent’s profile in terms of age, language used at home availability of mobile phone and social media account, periodicity of using visiting social media and the tendency of encountering new words in using or visiting social media and their awareness on Manillennial terms. However, in terms of genter, awareness on Manillennial terms or words. It also elicited that there was no significant relationship between the respondents’ profile and their frequency of usage on Manillennial terms or words, and between the level of awareness and their frequency of usage on Manillennial terms. These results lead the researchers to produce a Manillennial Slang Dictionary which can be beneficial to older and post-millenial generation.
