As part of research competency, internship or practicum is designed to provide practical experiences for BS Criminology students working in the 5 pillars of the Criminal Justice System: Law Enforcement, Prosecution, Judiciary, Corrections and the Community. This study aimed to determine the perceived level of competency of the fourth year Criminology intern towards research of the University of Cebu-Banilad Campus during the Academic Year 2018-2019 as basis for proposing an enhancement plan. This study utilized a descriptive-correlational method in gathering data and various adapted survey questionnaires in collecting the data. This study was conducted among the Criminology Interns as respondents at the University of Cebu-Banilad Campus. The researchers discussed and informed the respondent about the nature of the topic and the flow of the study. The research findings revealed that 100 percent of the respondents below to came from the BS Criminology program of the school. The competency level of the respondents toward research are average level, since most of the indicators were rated agree. It further revealed that there was no significant relationship between the respondents' perceived level of competency towards research. However, there's a significant relationship if the variables are more than 0.05. The top persistent problem that the 4th year interns encountered in conducting research were the "Lack of scientific training in the methodology of research".
