Material type: TextPublisher: Cebu City : University of Cebu, 1994Description: 42 leavesContent type: text Media type: unmediated Carrier type: volumeSummary: Summary: Each and every expectant mother hopes for a normal and healthy pregnancy outcome. They hope to have a healthy baby who will bring joy and happiness into their lives. But then, there are certain circumstances that shatter these hopes. These circumstances shorten the gestational age, thus preventing the fetus in the utero to reach the full 38th week term and maintain a normal growth. Although these premature infants still have chances of survival, especially when provided with prolonged very expensive intensive care, both parents and care givers face the challenge of making critical decisions regarding their infants survival, another thing to consider is the quality of life achieved by these quite immature, low birthweight infants. It is apparent that appreciable compromise, both physical and intellectual, afflicts such children.Item type | Current location | Call number | Status | Date due | Barcode |
