Specifically, this study determined the profile of the respondents among high school students in terms of age and gender. Majority of the respondents belonged to 16 years old were mostly males. This study utilized a descriptive-correlational design. There were 249 high school students as our respondents. The study was conducted at University of Cebu- Main Campus, in the high school department located at the Sanciangko Street, Cebu City. Convenience sampling technique was used. A research-made questionnaire was utilized. The instrument composed of three parts. Part I pertained to the profile of the respondents in terms of age and gender. Part II pertained to the description of parenting styles as experienced of the respondents and the Part III pertained to the behavioral responses of the students. This study used simple percentage, mean range formula and the Chi square test of relationship. The findings revealed that there were a significant relationship between the profile of the respondents in terms of age and gender to their behavioral responses and between the behavioral responses and parenting styles among high school students of University of Cebu- Main. Based on the findings of the study, Authoritative parenting style was moderately utilized. Authority figures, loyal, less likely to drugs, can make decisions responsibly, irresponsible and self-reliant were dominant behavioral responses evident in the study. On the basis of the findings of the study, the following recommendations were formulated: further researches be made on students with recorded disciplinary lapses, students who are frequently referred for consultation at guidance office, interaction between parents and there children and to implement the proposed action plan.Item type | Current location | Call number | Status | Date due | Barcode |
