N2  - Summary: The purpose of this study was to determine the incidence of child abuse from 1996-1999 in Cebu City as a basis for a proposed plan of action.
Specifically, this study aims to answer the following questions:
1.What is the proportion of child abuse in terms of :
1.1 types 
1.2 causes
2. What is the incidence of child abuse as classified in terms of :
2.1 year
2.2 institution
3. Is there a significant difference in the proportion of reported cases within fiscal year?
4. Based on the findings, what action plan can be proposed?
The hypothesis that the researcher had formulated:
Ho= There is no significant difference in the proportion of child abuse cases in the specified paired fiscal years
