One safety guidelines implemented during the pandemic is quarantine. In which elderlies ages 60 and above are prohibited from going outside, with the implementation of this safety guideline, elderlies faced challenges in their lives. The purpose of this study is to explore the challenges elderlies faced with the presence of quarantine. The study utilized the exploratory research design to explore the restrictions and challenges of quarantine to the elderlies in the selected barangays. The study analyzed the data gathered through thematic analysis, in which themes were extracted through analysis of the verbatim statement of the informants. The eight common themes that have been extracted from the informants' responses were: Fear and anxiety due to uncertainty, apprehensive mood and grim brought about by restrictions: boredom pervades amidst quarantine; adapting to the new normal; driven by fear; acceptance on crisis; restrictions on movement; and loss of livelihood. This study concluded that some elderlies were able to adjust easily while others had a difficulty in adapting to new normal. Thus, collaborative efforts with government sectors in providing health education to the elderlies were the highlight in the recommendation. ER -
