  <abstract>This study explored the effects of El Niño, caused by elevated Pacific Ocean temperatures, which led to extreme weather events such as floods, droughts, and heatwaves. These events increased the risks of waterborne and vector-borne diseases, worsened malnutrition, and threatened vulnerable populations. </abstract>
