"Burnout is a long-term reaction to severe emotional and interpersonal workplace pressures. Individual stress experiences are clearly placed within a larger organizational context of people's relationship to their work by burnout. Burnout is a widespread problem among the younger workforce due to the fierce struggle between work and personal life. 77.1% of young employees reported feeling burned out, losing interest in their jobs, and having a bad attitude. These people are frequently easily irritated and pessimistic about the future. Burnout must be taken seriously because it will result in low productivity. This study applied a descriptive correlational-survey research design and was conducted among the four (4) different selected fast food chains in Cebu Business Park, Cebu City. These four different fast food chains are the following: Chowking Food Corporation, Pizza Hut Philippines, Yellow Cab Company and McDonald's Corporation. There was a total of hundred and three (103) respondents. The total respondents (103) underwent a pre-survey to diagnose who among them experienced work burnout. Afterwards, among the one hundred-three (103) respondents there were only seventy (70) service crews whom experience work burnout. The sample size obtained will be sixty (60) respondents based on the Z- score method with a 0.5 margin of error and sampling technique that was used is stratified simple-random sampling. A researcher-made survey tool was used to gather important information on the service crew's sociodemographic profile, and the assessment of how the factors that contribute to work burnout affects the service crew in terms of difficulty with work-life balance, health concerns, frequent complaints: and difficulty handling workload. The study adhered to ethical principles such as beneficence, non-maleficence, justice, and autonomy. Simple percentages, weighted mean, and chi-square test of independence were used to treat the gathered data. The study revealed that service crew of the four (4) selected fast food chain were in the age of bracket of 20-22. The predominant were male, single, college level, full-time workers and has been working in the fast food company for 1-2 years. With an overall mean of 3.07 indicates that service crews in selected fast-food chains in Cebu City agree or were moderately contributes with the factors which is the Work life-balance health concerns, frequent complaints, and difficulty of handling workloads contributes to their work burnout. This result shows that these are significant factors affecting the performance of the service crew. Lastly, the study revealed that there was a significant relationship between respondents' profiles and factors that contributes to work burnout among the service crew in selected fast food chain company. In conclusion this study has determined that the factors of work burnout affect the service crew among the four (4) selected fast-food chains which are Chowking, McDonald's, Pizza Hut and Yellow Cab. The findings emphasize that these demographic factors have significantly contributed to work burnout among the service crew in selected fast-food chains in Cebu Business Park, and factors such as the difficulty with work-life balance, health concerns, frequent complaints and difficulty handling workload contribute to the work burnout among the service crew.
