This textbook is divided into ten chapters. Lesson objectives are identified at the beginning of each chapter to set the learning expectations from the students. In the lesson proper, concepts are defined, discussed, and illustrated through examples for better understanding. Also, there are short activities throughout the chapter.

At the end of the chapter, key concepts are enumerated and exercises are given. The exercises take the following forms:
