"Grit and self-efficacy are non-cognitive attributes that are mainly investigated in academic contexts; however, a gap remains perceived entailing a lack of studies examining the relationship between these variables. The present study aimed to examine the relationship between grit and self-efficacy among third and fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology students at University of Cebu-Banilad, with a further objective of examining the relationship between grit and self-efficacy levels on the respondents' demographic characteristics in terms of sex, perceived social support, and family monthly income. Moreover, a descriptive correlational research design was utilized. Meanwhile, the respondents of the present study were selected through a random sampling method. Whereas, the utilized research instrument was a content-validated survey questionnaire, composite of the Revised Grit and Revised General Academic Self-Efficacy Scale, and in terms of the demographic profile, the Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale, and the PIDS monthly income categorizations. Essentially, prior to the conduct of the survey, ethical considerations were adhered to through informed consent. As for the statistical treatment, frequency and percentage, weighted mean, Chi-Square Test of Independence, and Pearson-Product Moment Correlation were used. The findings revealed an overall high level of grit and self-efficacy. Additionally, a significant relationship is found between grit and self-efficacy in a weak positive correlation. Moreover, perceived social support is the demographic characteristic that is found significant on grit and self-efficacy, implying a mediating relationship that can be explored by future studies and further reinforcing the relevance of support-based programs on grit and self-efficacy, that is, the study's proposed guidance program, namely Grit and Self-efficacy Development: A Guidance Program for Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology Students." —Abstract Adult Ivy M.
