"Conflict resolution through community mediation is a cornerstone of the Philippine Barangay Justice System, yet perceptions of its effectiveness remain understudied. This study assessed the community's perception of the efficacy of Barangay Tabok's mediation program. Using a descriptive correlational design, data were collected from 371 respondents through a researcher-made questionnaire. Results showed that the mediation process was perceived as moderately effective in terms of accessibility, fairness, satisfaction, and timeliness, but less effective in fostering trust and restoring relationships. The type of dispute except in terms of timeliness and trust, and mediation outcomes showed significant relationships with the community's perception of the mediation program's efficacy, while other variables showed no significant relationship. Findings underscore the need to strengthen procedural transparency, mediator impartiality, and community engagement. It is recommended that Barangay Tabok enhance mediator training, feedback mechanisms, and case management to promote fair, timely, and inclusive mediation and reinforce community trust." —Abstract Adult John Rhyl M.
