Tour guide is any person who leads or presents to a group of tourists on an organized tour or activity, of any length, regardless of their employment status. Tourism stages the tourist in the interplay of making a tour into a lived experience for both tourist and tour guides. The purpose of the study is to determine and understand the lived experience of a tour guide. A phenomenological method was used to conduct in-depth interviews with a convenience sample of five accredited tour guides of Cebu City. Audio-recordings were transcribed in verbatim. The gathered data was analyzed and interpreted through finding in the saturation of the answers. The results revealed that tour guides must be flexible, knowledgeable and adjustable in dealing the tourists. Experience being a tour guide was great and will be able to meet different types of tourist behavior. The tour guide experiences have gained understanding in dealing with the tourist having varied personalities and diverse culture. They get to adjust themselves to the kind of tourists they are handling and fit into their culture. These experienced our guides develop skills in interpreting different behavior and how to deal with varied perplexities of tourist. Such that, the required skill is embodied in the conduct of tour guiding as they can easily and readily adjust themselves to please their tourists.
