N2  - Summary: Based on the researcher's experience during their third year exposure to hospitals, most students were hesitant to handle patients with pulmonary tuberculosis despite the fact that the topic about the disease has been tackled in community health nursing, NCM 501202 and pharmacology. This made them realize up to what extent of knowledge would make the students be prepared to care for patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. In this study, the researchers would like to ascertain if the knowledge on tuberculosis has some degree of relationship with the readiness to care for patients with tuberculosis. This has been grounded on the theory of Ernestine Wiedenbach in 1964 that knowledge encompasses all that has been perceived and grasped by human mind and when knowledge is acquired, it has the potentiality foe use in directing, teaching coordinating and planning care of the patients. According to Weidenbach in 1964, knowledge acquired through nursing education readies and prepares nurses for clinical practice
