TI - Perceptions of mothers on the benefits of food supplements PY - 2009/// CY - Cebu City PB - University of Cebu N1 - Thesis (Degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing) -- University of Cebu-Banilad, 2009 N2 - Summary: Popular among newspapers, radio and television and advertisements are the various food supplements with several health claims delivered by people of young or old age. Mothers in particular are involved in the care of the family's nutrition and health. Mothers' perceptions have been predominantly involved with the decision making in supplement use of the family members. The researchers intended to determine the perceptions of mothers at Barangay Kasambagan on the benefits of food supplements. This study is anchored on Nola Pender's Health Promotion Model in which she proposed that the model serves as a framework for integrating nursing and behavioral science perspectives on factors that influence health behaviors.
