Specifically, this study determined the profile of the mothers in terms of age, civil status, educational attainment and monthly income. The Diarrhea Management implemented by the respondents both in the aspect of curative and preventive practices was identified. This study utilized a descriptive survey research design. The actual number of respondents was based upon the total number of households per sitio in Barangay Kalunasan. There were 250 mothers who were made to answer the researcher-made questionnaire and were determined through purposive sampling technique. The results gathered were processed through simple percentage and ranking. The findings revealed that majority of respondents belong to 19-40 years of age, married, College level and has a monthly income of 5,000-9,999 pesos. The researchers were able to identify the top 3 most practiced Diarrhea Management under the curative category. Encouraging the intake of ORESOL ranked first, followed by referring the child to the hospital/health center if Diarrhea persists and subsequently followed by serving a well balance diet composed of rice, meat, fruits and vegetable. The least practiced intervention was avoiding sports drink in the management of Diarrhea. In the preventive aspect, the top 3 most practiced were keeping the food away from insects and rats by covering with food cover, washing of hands before eating and after using the toilet and washing the fruits and vegetables with clean water before eating or cooking respectively. Isolating the infected person to minimize the transmission of infection was least practiced by the respondents greatly affects the utilization and pursuance of a certain action in the promotion of health and prevention of diseases. The action plan is geared towards providing health, education addressing the salient points of Diarrhea Management to be able to reduce the incidence of Diarrhea in Barangay Kalunasan. Therefore, the researchers conclude that through adequate hygiene, proper food storage (use of food cover), and increase fluid intake, taking ORESOL are the most effective way in curing and preventing diarrhea.
