Summary: "The world today is bombarded with so many threats originated from both natural and human-instigated factors. In connection, criminality is one of its obvious manifestations. There are serious, less serious, organized (transnational/local) and luxurious crimes that evolved while converging with other forms of threat like those of terrorism and cyber-related aspects. Thus, crimes in the modern world can be seen as having an analogy with a hybrid threat occurring from any place and require specialized approaches in dealing with the detection and investigation, legal intervention as well as its prevention and control. Locally, our country is a playground of both transnational and organized crime actors who drive hybrid crimes in the community. Thus, law enforcement efforts related to counter these serious acts are at par with the advancement of sophisticated operational strategies to combat the same. In this book, the students will be able to exploit the significant approaches and techniques in the detection and investigative endeavor relative to transnational and organized crimes, terrorism, and crimes against humanity with protocols on interview and interrogations of involved parties. Competence shall likewise a primordial concern that students may acquire relative to the UN protocols and its coordination efforts in line with the investigation and apprehension of transnational and organized crimes. In addition, the provisions relative to human rights and victim's welfare are also presented. Thus, the book was organized and properly arranged to meet the target objectives along with the Revised Curriculum for Criminology Education under the CHED Memorandum Order Number 05, series of 2018." —Preface
