This creates a balance between a the satisfaction of its stakeholders and the interest of the society at large (Zarate, 2012). This investigation intend to assess the the attainment on the research objectives on social orientation and community involvement based on the perception of the University of Cebu-Banilad's students. This study utilized the descriptive -survey research design utilizing the adopted questionnaire from the University of Cebu research center in determining the attainment in research objectives on social orientation and community involvement. Using purposive sampling, there were 240 students who were the respondents from the College of Teacher Education, 243 student-respondents from College of Business and Accountancy. A standardized survey questionnaire was used as the main tool of data gathering. Weighted mean was computed to analyze the data on the respondents response. The results show that there is evidence that the institution exerts efforts in determining first the social, economic, cultural, and infrastructures available in adopted community; the outreached programs were acknowledged by the residents of the adopted community and governed by an approved memorandum of agreement between the institution and the community; the community outreached program of the institution is a reflection of its service orientation and educational philosophy which is made known to the people of the community it serves; there was sharing of the resources of the community; and the institution aims at the creation of social awareness and concern of the needs and problems of the community it serves among the faculty, students, and support personnel. The educational institution was able to to achieve its research objectives on inculcating social orientation and community involvement to all the stakeholders comprised of the students, faculty members, non-teaching personnel. Therefore, the educational institution needs to implement a sustainability plan to continuously serve the community, strengthen the monitoring system of the programs in the community.
