The issues of high employee turnover, retention difficulties, and a shortage of skilled people due to better job prospects were widespread globally. It also gives rise to various pressing realities, especially in manpower planning, recruitment and selection, training programs and orientation, and wages and salary administration. The study explored the experiences of human resource [HR] managers or directors in selected 3 and 4-star hotels in Cebu City. The study utilized an exploratory research design to understand better the informants' individual experiences and a methodological approach to qualitative data. This study was conducted in selected 3 and 4star hotels in Cebu City, and five (5) human resources managers or directors were chosen purposely to serve as informants. A researcher-made interview guide was used to aid the interviews and underwent content validation. The audio recordings of the interviews were transcribed, organized, and processed. Afterward, the information underwent thematic analysis. The study adhered to the principles of research ethics, which include beneficence, non-maleficence, justice, and autonomy. Credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability guarantee its trustworthiness. The themes created from the experiences of Human Resource (HR) managers or directors are the following: 1) in the area of manpower planning are Budget Planning Based on Staffing, Employee Recognition and Rewards, Training to Foster Employee Growth and Career Development; 2)in the aspect of recruitment and selection aspects, which are Hiring Through Connection, Online Platform Recruitment Strategy, Training-Based Talent Acquisition, and In-depth candidate profiling; 3) in the aspect of orientation and training programs, which are Welcoming and Introducing Newly Hired Employees; and Training through Feedback-Driven Methods; 4) in the area of wage and salary administration aspects are Merit-based Salary Structuring by Role and Level, Budget Consideration for Compensation; and Legal Compliance in Compensation Structure. Moreover, the themes are created from the responses by human resource managers or directors regarding their aspirations: Career Growth and Development, Adaptability to Ever-Changing Workplace and Technology, and Effective Dialogue as a Core Competency." --Abstract
