This study aims to determine the environmental management practices of Sanitary Care Product Asia Inc. in Pool Bankal, Lapu-Lapu City, focusing on environmentally friendly materials, energy conservation, solid waste management, and wastewater management.
A descriptive correlational-survey research design was employed, involving 142 regular employees from the production department of Sanitary Care Products Asia Inc. A research-made survey tool was used, adhering to ethical principles of autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice. Data were analyzed using frequency counts, simple percentages, weighted means, and Pearson r tests.
The findings indicate that the company highly practiced environmental management in all areas examined. These practices significantly contribute to sustainability in terms of people, planet, and profit, enhancing the company's reputation, operational efficiency, and financial performance. However, the study revealed no significant relationship between these specific environmental practices and the overall attainment of sustainability goals, suggesting that other factors may also play a crucial role. Sanitary Care Products Asia Inc.'s effective use of eco-friendly materials, energy conservation, and waste management demonstrates a strong commitment to environmental stewardship. While these practices positively impact sustainability performance, the lack of a significant correlation with overall sustainability highlights the complexity of achieving holistic sustainability. This study underscores the importance of continuous improvement in environmental practices and the need to consider a broader range of factors in sustainability strategies." --Abstract
