520 _aSummary: Hospitals are the bedrock of our health system. They faced myriad issues including staff shortages, under funding access problems. Making the nursing profession attractive and respected was pivotal to solving the problem of public health. Due to such economic crisis here in the Philippines, it is undeniable that the government only spared less percentage on health management that was given to the people of the country. Some of our government hospitals lack facilities needed for patients for their recovery. Here in Cebu City, one of the problems faced by our government hospitals is the shortage of beds, that beds outnumbered by the patients in which could be observe that two to three patients are sharing in a bed which may find it to be factor of the patients full recovery. According to the Nursing Service Department of Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, the obstetric ward has 40 bed capacities and the cencus of the admitted obstetric patient ward reaches 90. Bed sharing was a social issue that must be given enough concern not only by the medical health team but the government as well. Bed sharing among patients is far from the ideal practices. It could bring psychosocial stress to the supposedly healing patients. The goal of this study was to determine, describe andto provide information on the psychosocial responses of the obstetric patients who were sharing in one bed in the obstetric ward at Vicente Sotto Medical Memorial Center. The psychosocial responses helped the nurses toward the rehabilitative care to obstetric clients, thus this awareness further enhanced the nurse's rehabilitative care to the obstetric clients, also helped them achieve their health in their greatest potential, and work toward productive and independent lives. Nurses took holistic approach to meeting clients needs. Rehabilitation nursing is a philosophy of care not a working setting or a phase of treatment and based their practice on rehabilitative and restorative principles by providing ongoing patient caregiver education, thus it gave the researchers the purpose of choosing this study. In relation to the statistical data, a significant relationship was being manifested, the researchers has proposed an intervention plan to help minimizing this problem.
