520 _aSummary:The Department of Education's K to 12 program has already produced three batches of senior high school graduates since its initial implementation back in 2012. Despite that, many students and parents included are not still sure about the outcome upon graduating in senior high school. The primary purpose of the study who was to assess the employability of University of Cebu- Banilad senior high cookery strands graduates. This study was undertaken to formulate a proposed development plan that will help improve the employability of the graduates of and students taking cookery strand. this was conducted at the establishments were the graduates had their on-the-job training. Random sampling was used to determine the thirty (30) respondents. This study used descriptive survey method utilizing a research- made questionnaire to gather the data. Simple percentage, weighted mean, and chi- square were the statistical treatment used for data analysis. The results showed that most of the graduates have done their on- the- job training on casual dining restaurants rather than fine dining restaurant. The graduate's employability as a waiter/ waitress and kitchen assistant based on the assessment of the respondents were all rated to be highly qualified. As for their personality, experience and skills it was also rated to be highly qualified. Also, a significant relationship was noted between two sets of paired variables: position & employability based on skills. However, a unanimous of no significant relationship was detected. Hence, the null hypothesis was accepted. The study concludes that the emloyability of University of Cebu- Banilad senior high school cookery strand graduates assessed by the respondents are highly qualified.
