501 _aThesis ( Institutional Faculty Research) -- University of Cebu- Banilad, 2018.
520 _aSummary: The Philippines is known to produce skilled and competent nurses. Through practical experience, the students who are taking Bachelor of Science in Nursing develop the skills and competence both in the school and clinical settings. These experiences will serve as on of the graduates' bases in answering questions in the Nurse Licensure Examination. In- school simulation and related learning experience influence the performance of graduates of BSN in the Nurse Licensure Examination. The concept of experiential learning, the process of learning through experience is the basis of the assumption. That is the more senses are involved in education, the better the knowledge. This study determined in- school simulation and related learning experience as determinants of Nurse Licensure Examination success of nursing graduates in a university. Correctly, the researchers identified the performance of the subjects in their in-school simulation, related learning experience (RLE), and Nurse Licensure Examination (NLE). Furthermore, this investigation explores the relationship between in- school simulation performance and related learning experience to the graduates' performance in the Nurse Licensure Examination. This study utilized the descriptive correlational design to identify any relationship between in- school simulation and related learning experience performance to the Nurse Licensure Examination performance of the nursing graduates. Purposive sampling was utilized to determine the subjects. In- school simulation and related learning experience are not determinants of NLE success of graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. However, there is an inference that there is a misalignment on the clinical experience and exposure of the research subjects to the actual situations and the ideal principles as taught in nursing lecture subjects. Thus, the basis of NLE result is on the perfect practice,is not significantly related to in- school simulation and related learning experience performances of the issues of the study.
