520 | _aSummary: Jaywalking is the practice of those persons who illegally cross the roads. Jaywalking when the road users across or walk in the street unlawfully or without regard for approaching traffic. It occurs when a pedestrian walk in or crosses a roadway that has traffic. The purpose of doing jaywalking because of the shortest and easiest way passage and the main reason for committing is the act of laziness. This study utilized descriptive-correlation design. The respondents of this study were ninety-seven(97) third year and fourth year Bachelor of Science in Criminology students. This study employed random cluster sampling. The researcher made a questionnaire to gather data. Data were treated using percent, weighted mean, chi-square and Cramer’s V. the findings revealed that majority of the respondents were within the age of 18-19 years old with 52.6%. Male respondents constituted of 74.2%. A total of 60.8% of 3rd year level practiced jaywalking. There was no significant relationship between the age, gender, and year level and their perception of jaywalking practices among the criminology students. | ||
