520 _aAbstract: The Sphere will never be the same, the new normal should be embraced, and the country's educational system is not exempt for this. According to Wiles(2020), people have entered a new phase of reality due to COVID-19, escalated online schoolwork, and the expectation to socialize virtually. The disruptions were felt by the stakeholders in the academe, especially the students .This study aimed to assess the level of anxiety and the coping strategies of nursing students enrolled during the pandemic. This study is mixed method research with two hundred seventy (270) respondents and interviewed twelve (12) informants from the University of Cebu - Banilad College of Nursing utilizing purposive sampling technique. This study was conducted online through virtual platforms, specifically, he use of the Google forms. The investigators ensured scientific and ethical soundness of the study by undertaking risk-benefit assessment, ensuring beneficence, justice, voluntarism in participation using informed consent, confidentiality procedures, and avoiding conflict of interest among others, to protect the welfare of the respondents. The following statistical tools to analyze quantitative data were simple percentage. weight mean. Chi-square test of independence. P-vale, and Cramer's V. value. Thematic analysis was applied for qualitative data. Results revealed that students perceived having mild anxiety attending to the demands of their online classes and recorded religiosity to be the most practiced strategy followed by problem-solving then relaxation. In terms of their insights or realization in online learning, three (3) themes were generated; Count Your Blessings. It is a Difficult Situation, and An Impact to Learning. Individual and technological factors contributed to the mild anxieties experienced by the respondents in a new academic territory. The virtual space warranted the utilization and application of several coping strategies, grasping on to faith and hope those negative emotions brought about by online learning are just part of life and that a higher being listens to the plea of those who have a firm reliance on Him. The study also suggests that there is a need for a good coping mechanism to cope up the hardships of online learning to ease anxiety and negativity.
