520 _aCoastal resource management [CRM] has increasingly become a priority for promoting sustainable development in coastal regions, especially in tourism hotspots like Madridejos, Bantayn Island, Cebu. Despite the area's designation as a tourist municipality, several challenges hinder the effective implementation of coastal resource management [CRM]. These challenges include the absence of comprehensive management strategies, insufficient funding, and limited involvement of key stakeholders. This research aimed to evaluate the current state of CRM in Madridejos from the viewpoint of local stakeholders, with the goal of developing a more sustainable and effective CRM framework for he municipality.
