520 _aThe relationship between music and concentration is multifaceted as it may have positive or negative effects on one's task efficiency. The effect of external stimuli, notably music, on students' focus has sparked a great deal of interest and controversy in higher education. This study investigates the perceived effects of music on college students' concentration, examining the various ways in which music might either boost or hinder their capacity to focus on academic work. This study determined the perceived effects of music on concentration of college students in which the finding served as a basis for a proposed action plan.
