520			_a"Learning Mathematics is generally regarded as a challenging subject, with many students finding it particularly difficult and unengaging, especially when compared to other subjects. This study was conducted to identify the factors contributing to math learning difficulties among Grade 4 students at Apas Camp Lapu-Lapu Elementary School to help in improving educational strategies to enhance student performance and engagement in Mathematics. The research aimed to understand why Grade 4 students at Apas Camp Lapu-Lapu Elementary School struggle with math. Using a descriptive-correlational design and a quantitative approach, the study examined various factors affecting these difficulties. Researchers selected 30 students based on low math grades in the first quarter using purposive sampling. They employed a modified questionnaire to gather data on challenges in math learning, validated by an expert to ensure accuracy. Ethical procedures were followed, including obtaining consent from parents and students, and data collection was conducted during math classes to ensure participant presence and accuracy. Confidentiality was maintained throughout data handling and disposal. The study ultimately sought to identify common issues and inform targeted support strategies for improving math learning outcomes among these students. Based on the findings, most respondents were around 10 years old, with an equal number of boys and girls, and their parents typically had a high school education level. It Identified several factors contributing to math learning difficulties among Grade 4 students, including issues related to students themselves, teachers, schools, and families. Interestingly, the research did not uncover any significant relationship between the profile of the respondents and their learning difficulties in learning math. these findings suggest that while various factors contribute to math struggles, individual student profiles may not directly predict the extent of these challenges." —Abstarct
