520 _a"Sleep quality is vital to maintaining academic concentration. This study explored the relationship between sleep quality and academic concentration among third-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing students at the University of Cebu-Banilad Campus. It sought to determine the respondents' demographic profile (sex, average sleeping hours, sleeping time, sleeping environment), assess their levels of sleep quality and academic concentration, examine the relationship of each variable with the demographic profile, and determine if there is a significant relationship between sleep quality and academic concentration. A descriptive-correlational design was utilized for this study. A sample of two hundred seventy-two students was randomly selected using Slovin's formula to determine the appropriate sample size. The study utilized a modified Sleep Quality Scale by Yi et al. (2006) and a researcher-made academic concentration scale for data collection, both using a 4-point Likert Scale. The instruments' reliability and validity were established through content validation and dry run. Data were analyzed using frequency, weighted mean, Chi-square Test of Independence, and Pearson correlation. The research adhered to established ethical standards, including informed consent, voluntary participation, confidentiality of responses, and respect for the rights and dignity of all participants. Findings revealed a significant relationship between sleep quality and academic concentration among third-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing students at the University of Cebu-Banilad Campus, indicating that better sleep quality is linked to improved academic concentration. Respondents exhibited moderate sleep quality but poor academic concentration. Although most reported generally comfortable sleep environments, demographic factors such as sex, average sleeping hours, sleeping time, and sleeping environment showed no significant impact on sleep quality or academic concentration. Many students still faced challenges maintaining concentration, suggesting their sleep may be insufficient to support sustained cognitive performance. To address these issues, a psychoeducational infographic was developed to promote healthy sleep habits and enhance academic performance among students." —Abstract
