520 _aSummary: Academic success is essential since the successful development of the young ones is strongly connected to their brighter future. The educationally flourished adults who are with an elevated amount of training are more likely to be hired and have a stable occupation (Regier, 2011). This study determined the intelligence quotient (IQ) and academic performance of the working and full-time Bachelor of Science in Tourism of the university. This study utilized a descriptive-correlational research design with the use of secondary data from the office of the registrar and guidance center. There was a total of 141 research subjects comprising of 129 full-time tourism students and 12 working tourism students. Statistical treatments used for data analysis were simple percentage and chi-square test of independent. The findings showed that most of the tourism students had an average intelligence quotient and good academic performance. Further, results showed that there was no significant relationship between the profile of the students and their intelligence quotient and academic performance. Therefore, there is a need for the academic institution to implement an intervention to address the learning and intelligence gap of the students which would be essential to the future career of the tourism students.
