520 _aSummary: Hotel and Restaurant management, a study of personal, cleanliness, sanitary practices in food preparation, causes investigation, and control of illness caused by food contamination and work place sanitation standards. Students has the opportunity to explore hospitality careers, food service, restaurant organization, hotels and hotel organization, meeting industry, management and leadership, human resources, marketing and selling, marketing communications, management companies, and ethics in hospitality management. The primary purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influenced students to take Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management course. This study was accomplished by utilizing a descriptive-quantitative research design. A researcher -made questionnaire was used in the gathering of data. Statistical treatment used for analyzing and in tabulating the data gathered were purposive sampling technique, weighted mean, and chi-square. The researchers conducted the survey at the University of Cebu-Banilad Campus tot he Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management students with an overall of one hundred respondents. Considering the findings of this study , the researchers concluded that there is significant relationship between the respondents profile and the factors that influenced the students decision to take Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management course. Further, this study concluded that the most influencing factors to the students who enrolled Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management course in the University of Cebu-Banilad Campus are personal and economic factors.
