520 _aSummary: The study determined the nutritional status and eating habits of pupils aged 6-12 years old. This research study utilized a descriptive-correlational research design to determine the relationship between the profile of the respondents and the eating habits of the subjects to the nutritional status of the subjects. Transmittal leters were made to formally request that study can be conducted in Hipodromo Elementary School. There were 109 respondents composed of the primary caregivers of pupils aged 6-12 years old. Purposive sampling was used to identify the respondents. A researcher made questionnaire has been utilized and treated with the use of the simple percentage, weighted means, and Chi-square test of independence. The actual data collection lasted for five days. The results of the study revealed that majority of the respondents were between 31-38 females, high school graduates with 1-2 number of children, unemployed, without income and in terms of relationship to the child, were mothers. Most of the subjects had normal bodymass index and had good eating habits. Significant relationships were found between the respondents profile in terms of the number of children, occupation and monthly income to the nutritional status of the subjects. Only bad eating habits vs nutritional status of the subjects had significant results in terms of relationship between the eating habits and nutritional status of the subject. In general, the researchers concluded that the nutritional status of the subjects can be affected by the respondents profile, in terms of number of children, occupation, and income. Also, the nutritional status of the subjects can be affected by their eating habits. Based on the study findings the researchers recommended the implementation of the proposed action plan by doing seminars and giving brochures to the mothers. Also. further studies be made in line with the nutritional status of pupils particularly those who are obese overweight and underweight.
