520 _aSummary: Given the existence of increasing incidence of emergency cardiovascular care, the researchers are showing the earnest desire to determine the competence on Basic Life Support (BLS) among level IV students of the University of Cebu Colleges of Nursing. This research study utilized descriptive-correlational design. This research design was used to describe the variables of the study and examine their relationships. The study used a researcher-made questionnaire. Based on data gathered, the majority of the respondents were aged 19-22. There has a dominating population of females than males, and more respondents were from UC-Banilad. In the level of competence, it showed that in terms of knowledge and skills students are moderately competent with the aggregated mean of 2.8 and 2.93 respectively and in terms of attitudes, the level IV nursing students scored strongly agree with aggregated mean of 3.76. For the significant relationship between the variables, it showed that there is no significant relationship between the respondents age and UC campus tot their level of competence. However, in gender it demonstrated a significant relationship to their level of competence with the computed value of 9.654 and critical value of 7.815 tested in 0.05 level of significance. In conclusion, based on the findings the researchers, therefore, concluded that the level IV nursing students were moderately competent in Basic Life Support with the weighted rand mean score of 3.02 respectively.
