520 _aSummary: The study determined the extent of student nurses' utilization of the library resources. The findings will serve as bases for a proposed intervention plan. Specifically it sought to answer the following questions: What is demographic profile of the respondents?, What is the extent of utilization of the Student Nurses of the library resources? Is there a significant relationship between profile of the respondents and their utilization of the library resources?, Based on the findings of the study, what intervention plan may be proposed? The research utilized the Non- Experimental Descriptive correlational survey design. Out of 2, 737 nursing students, only 351 were taken as the respondents of the study. The locale of the study is at University of Cebu- Banilad Cebu City. The researchers made use of questionnaires as a tool in gathering of data to determine the extent of student nurses' utilization in the library resources. the questionnaire has two parts. The first part will answer on the respondent's profile according to their age, gender and year level. The second part will focus on the extent of utilizing the library resources used by the respondents. This part used the following indicators: 1; highly utilized (there were 7 or more instances of using the resources, 2; moderately utilized (If there were 4-6 instances you used the resources), 3; less utilized (If there were 1-3 used resources,) 4; never utilized ( If you do not use the resources at all). The study established the extent of student nurses' utilization of the library resources. Based on the accumulated findings, most of the respondents fall under the age of bracket of 18-19 comprising 200 respondents, majority are female with 252 respondents and most respondents came from level III comprising 128 respondents. On the extent of student nurses' utilization of the library resources, they were able to find out that the nurses less utilized the library resources. In relation to the extent of utilization with the age and year level of the respondents, the researchers found a significant relationship difference. In relationship to the respondents' gender there is no significant difference. Based on the summary of findings and conclusion of the study, the researchers recommend that the implementation of the proposed intervention plan will aim to enhance the student nurses' utilization of the library resources. Furthermore, the following recommendations are formulated: A re- introduction of the different library resources may be made to let us student know the uses as well as the disadvantages of the different resources through distribution of pamphlet; The library must have updated resources available for the students to have a wider range of option to the resources that they could use; the Clinical instructors could make use of their subjects to impart some information of the available library resources which motivates the students to learn; the library could provide a free internet service to the students who will be using the library for a limited period of time; information page about the library resources should be impart to "Penlight" magazine's yearly issue; provide each enrolling student a list of available library resources which deals with ways on how to seek information.
